... Ferraris ...
The new American F1 team Cadillac is planning to announce its drivers. Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas are the two most predictable choices. Cadillac, which will become F1's 11th team in 2026, is ready to choice the most experienced free agents available. Mexican driver Pérez and Finnish driver Bottas have a combined 16 race wins between them. Both deals have not be done yet, but a line-up announcement is expected to come before the next Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix. The new team, led by former Manor team principal Graeme Lowden, identified both drivers as primary targets early in the process. General Motors was granted entry to F1 as an 11th team last year and opted to join as the Cadillac brand. Although primarily based out of a UK factory near the Silverstone circuit, parts of the operation will also run out of locations in Fishers, Indiana and Warren, Michigan. GM has also committed to building its own engine for the F1 team by the end of the decade, but in the interim it will race with Ferrari power units.
It wasn't The Monterey cars Week. It was more The Monterey Ferrari Cars Week this year, more than ever. New styles and new trends arrives every year but Ferrari remains. With eight of the top 10 sales, the marque continues to remain the most popular. During the Monterey auctions the total sales increased to $432.8M, the highest since the record set in 2022. Ten new world records were set for Ferrari models, and the number of $1M+ sales for post-1990 Ferraris is coming for vintage Enzo-era Ferraris (12 vs. 15, respectively). A Ferrari Daytona SP3 sold for charity went for an impressive $26M. Some oyher modern supercar highlights include: a 2008 Koenigsegg CCXR that sold at auction in 2015 for $825K now sells for $3.2M. A 1993 Ferrari F40 LM was sold for $11M, setting a new world record for the LM model by almost double. A 1995 Ferrari F50 was sold for $9.25M, setting a new world record for the model. Variety arrived in the $1M+ segment (Ferrari Dino 246s, Porsche 911s, BMW M1s, etc.). Top 10 sales covered seven decades, demonstrating broad collecting variety, even though eight of the top 10 were Ferraris.

for sharing with us these fantastic pictures of his Ferrari BBLM #70 that finished 6th overall at Le Mans, on June 19th and 20th 1982. A special thanks to Sam Smith and Bob DeMart for their contribution. It is an immense privilege watching this car with such a great history... there are pages and pages of news... and Jim says "It is a great handling race car, and still amazes me every time I see it and drive it"...
Thank our Friends at Forza Motor Cars for these wonderful images of a marvelous Lamborghini Countach LP 400. This is the "Periscopio" model and is one of 150 produced. Contact us for more information or just enjoy...
