Montreal's Boxes
What a spectacular race! What a fantastic weekend, dominated by the battle between Kimi Antonelli and George Russell (both with Mercedes) with tons of wheel-to-wheel-overtakings until Russell's power unit decided to stop. Russell won Saturday's Sprint race, while Sunday's GP was won by Antonelli (4th GP in a row, first time in Formula 1 history for a 1st time winner). Sunday's GP also offered another great duel between Hamilton (Ferrari) and Verstappen (Red Bull) for 2nd place. Hamilton got his best result in a GP with Ferrari, with an upgraded Ferrari that also saw Leclerc finishing 4th. Verstappen had his first podium in 2026. Bottom line, the Italian teenager ace Antonelli stood in the top step of a podium, next to Hamilton & Verstappen's 11 world championships... And McLaren? Norris's great start, leading the first lap, was not enough, because the team's pessimistic strategy (rain intermediate tires) only worked for a couple of laps, and then reliability issues stopped Norris, while several mistakes pushed Piastri out of the points zone. Hadjar (Red Bull) arrived 5th (despite some mistakes and penalties) and Colapinto (Alpine) clinched the 6th, before Lawson (Racing Bull), Gasly (Alpine), Sainz (Williams) and Bearman (Haas) for last point-position.
Ferrari is always the main protagonist at the exotic cars’ auction. Another rare and extremely valuable Ferrari 250 from the early 1960s has just sold for a fortune at auction. We're talking about a 1963 250 GT SWB California Spyder model, which fetched $18.15 million USD at the Mecum Auctions event in Indianapolis few days ago. Featuring a body designed by Pininfarina and masterfully executed by Scaglietti, the short-wheelbase California Spyder debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1960. This one is the last of 55 units built from 1960 to 1963 (fewer than 40 featuring recessed headlamps with clear Perspex covers).

for sharing with us these fantastic pictures of his Ferrari BBLM #70 that finished 6th overall at Le Mans, on June 19th and 20th 1982. A special thanks to Sam Smith and Bob DeMart for their contribution. It is an immense privilege watching this car with such a great history... there are pages and pages of news... and Jim says "It is a great handling race car, and still amazes me every time I see it and drive it"...

Thank our Friends at Forza Motor Cars for these wonderful images of a marvelous Lamborghini Countach LP 400. This is the "Periscopio" model and is one of 150 produced. Contact us for more information or just enjoy...
